This blog was created to show people the problems of deforestation.

OBJECTIVES

1. To make know to the people about the problematic that represent the Deforestation for the planet and the consequences that it produces.

2. To know the underlying causes of Deforestation and determine why they happen in our society.

3. To research and identify about plans of action that has currently the government to tackle this problem.

4. To generate ideas that encouraging the preservation of this natural resource

RATIONALE

his project looks for to generate brings back to consciousness on the impact cultural partner in which we are ourselves surrounded by the lack of knowledge in the optimal handling of the environmental resources and the generation of action plans that maximize the conservation of the forests, considering the sustained development of the economy so that the humanity can satisfy more and more its basic needs and improve the productive processes of the companies, without attempting against the environment.

INTRODUCTION

ne of the greatest threats to human life on earth is deforestation. This activity involves exposing the earth of its forests and other ecosystems such as soil, which has a similar effect to burn human skin. Forests are important because they help maintain the ecological balance and biodiversity, limit erosion in watersheds and influence variations in weather and climate. It also caters to the rural communities of various products, including wood, food, fuel, fodder or fibers of organic fertilizers among others.

We will release its causes; we'll talk a bit about the history of deforestation that will allow us to imagine the magnitude of the problem and valuable resource that nature has provided.
This project will present the various aspects that cause the degradation of our wildlife and fertile soil, which goes beyond the socioeconomic conditions of man, and if we do not give enough importance, could be causing the gradual destruction of our planet and our home.

BODY OF WORK

eforestation defined as the destruction of a large number of plant species changing the conditions of a particular habitat, usually caused by human action, although it can be produced by natural causes (for example, in the case of Forest Fires).

The main causes of deforestation are:

1.  The development of unsustainable farming.
2.  The colonization and occupation of land.
3.  The construction of infrastructure.
4.  The intensive use of firewood.
5.  Illegal crops.
6.  Wood production for industry and commerce.

7. Forest fires.

Moreover, the processes of displacement of rural communities into areas forest (caused by problems of public order), as important causes of deforestation, which undertook development of agricultural and livestock
subsistence and to use of wood for cooking the food, don’t having other energy alternatives. However, we must consider other causes are also important, such as market failures (goods and services and natural forest ecosystems undervalued or without recognized market value). Missing of clarity about property land and resources, inappropriate land use and resources. Errors of government policy (incentives inadequate, excessive regulation, inadequate or insufficient government investment). Failures in training and education of citizens and productive sectors (inadequate education, employment and productive opportunities restricted, limited access to markets).

One consequence of deforestation consists in soils are left unprotected and exposed to erosion by rain, changing the topography of the place and causing serious disruptions to ecosystems. Because to the changes generated in the natural habitat, many animals end up dying for different reasons, leading to progressive loss of biodiversity and even extinction of many species. One of the biggest impacts of the deforestation is the alteration of the carbon cycle because the trees absorb carbon dioxide; the fewer forest has on our planet, the more climate change and global warming.

GOVERNMENT PLANS AND INSTITUTIONS AGAINST DEFORESTATION

The following are the main institutions with their respective functions and powers, which have incidence in the control of deforestation in Colombia.

1. MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Reserve and manage the areas that make up the system of national parks and reserves national forest, and regulate their use and operation. Determine the species to the exploitation of natural forests and obtaining of specimens of flora and fauna.

2. SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE NATIONAL NATURAL PARK SYSTEM

It is responsible for the formulation and implementation of specific actions for the reduction of deforestation inside the areas National Natural Parks System, exert control and ensuring compliance with internal rules.

3. AUTONOMOUS REGIONAL CORPORATIONS, CORPORATIONS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND URBAN ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORITIES.

Implement actions to reduce deforestation, between which are the traffic control illegal logging, forest-use control, issuance of rules to control deforestation and conservation of forest resources.

4. DISTRICTS, MUNICIPALITIES AND INDIGENOUS REGIONAL INSTITUTIONS.

Develop and implement plans, programs and projects for the conservation of forests. They may also issue rules for the control of deforestation and conservation, in accordance with the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.

5. INSTITUTE OF HYDROLOGY, METEOROLOGY AND STUDIES ENVIRONMENTAL – IDEAM

It is the entity responsible of lifting, handling and disclosure of information on forest cover at the level national, including the official rates of deforestation.

IDEAS TO ENCOURAGE THE CONSERVATION OF FORESTS

· Motivate society to participate in campaigns about conservation of natural resources.

· Inform people about the programs that the government has towards reforestation and forest conservation through media such as social networks.

· Sow a tree or a plant near the place you live or where permitted.
